What is it?

A pontoon is a cylindrical floating device made of a HDPE pipe. It is designed to keep various equipment, installations or floating bridges afloat.

How to use?

  • It is not recommended to drag or push the pontoons along the ground and to use appropriate lifting equipment when moving them.
  • Pontoons must be stored on a flat and level surface.
  • Do not store pontoons on top of fixing ears!
  • If possible, pontoons should be kept out of direct sunlight before installation (possible deformation).
  • When pontoons are installed side by side, the pontoons must be at least 10mm apart.
  • When installing the pontoon to the frame, make sure that the fixing ears are not tightly tightened against the frame. A small gap must be left to allow the polyethylene to expand and contract freely without damaging the pontoon.
  • It is recommended that pontoons are removed from the water for the winter. This is particularly important when pontoons are located in moving water. Moving ice can break up the pontoon.
